We want to understand how young people experience meaning in their lives. Research shows that higher levels of meaningfulness in children is positively associated with higher wellbeing, higher positive emotions and lower negative emotions, and lower levels of social and emotional difficulties. In developing the YMI we aim to provide policymakers with the tools to help young people lead more meaningful lives.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”What is the target population?” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n Children, adolescents, and all youth from different countries around the world.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”How is data collected?” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n Data is collected online using a computer or tablet. For younger children, adults will ask the questions to children and fill in their answers in the survey. For older youth, they can fill the online YMI survey on their own.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Is any personal data collected? ” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n Demographic variables such as age and gender are collected in the survey.
